Abstract

For a long time it's known about the role of the vegetative nervous systems in the formation of bronchial asthma (BA). It seems promising and interesting to bring out the influence of the substituting hormonal therapy on the heart rhythm variability and the course of BA among women during the period of menopause.

The investigation objective was the evaluation of the peculiarities of BA course and the vegetative status at the women with BA during the period of menopause.

We examined 10 women at the age of 46-55 with the mixed BA of the medium heaviness with the duration of menopause 1 to 10 years. All patients had the beginning of the disease or its deterioration at the start of climacteric period.

All the patients underwent a through clinical instrumental examination: general examination, gynecological status, mammography, ultrasinigraphy of the vaginal sensor, the determination of the lipid and hormonal profiles, ultrasonic cardiography, rhythmography. Rhythmogram was held by the apparatus-programmed complex "Varicard". The 5-minute fragments of R-R intervals were analyzed. The received data were worked up with the help of the MS Excel ®. After the exclusion of contra-indications a substituting hormonal therapy was prescribed: a cyclic estrogeno-gestagenous therapy or estrogen therapy in case of uterus had been removed. The control examinations were held 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 months after the beginning of the therapy.

Before the treatment patient's parameters of the heart rhythm variability showed the reduction of the degree of the central influences on the heart rhythm (IC 5 times more), the rise of the activity of the parasympathetic regulating section (HF is 2,5 times bigger) and a simultaneous reduction of the sympathetic regulating section (IVLF is more than 2 times bigger).

Already after a month of substituting hormonal therapy all the patients showed the tendency of vegetative status parameters normalization.

Thus the substituting hormonal therapy of the women with the bronchial asthma during the menopause period causes the positive influence on the vegetative status and BA course; in some cases it lets reduce the dose or refuse using of broncholitics. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
